Super Colorful Carpets

heheh

heheh

I've purchased from AquaSD. He has some really exotic stuff. I've never had anything injured due to shipping so have to give them a thumbs up. Everything that I've bought from them are still alive and well in my tank. That pink carpet he just got in is a killer.....

You mean the one I just got? It should be arriving in about 5 hours!

Thumbs up big time

Will and Alice are top notch people and vendors. They get quality stuff and have them at reasonable prices.

Minh,

you still have those Pizzas? do you keep them in a specie tank?
Mine are S. tapetum the Maxi variety. One green and the other 4 have multi colors. One mostly pink, one mostly orange and one red/brown. I got them in various aquariums in place that are difficult to take good pictures. I am setting up another system and take down one or two. I hove to be able to tek good top down pictures of them over the next several weeks. The Maxi tapetum are very colorful. There is a thread here "what color is your carpet" have great pictures of many of these tapetum (not mine) in that thread.

Cryptos are not sand dwellers so the info is wrong, I have seen many diving, all attached to rock

Perhaps we should edit it and say "can be found in rock or sand". The ones I have seen have always been in the sand.

And no, these don't appear dyed to me. You can't dye an anemone different colors. In my opinion, C. adhesivum can have the most vibrant coloration of all of the clown anemones - but if you think S. haddoni eats fish, this thing puts S. haddoni to shame :)

for their super-sticky i am not surprise to read that. ARE THEY HARDY THOUGH? i mean are they as hardy as Haddoni? they seems awefully expensive for something 3".........

but if you think S. haddoni eats fish, this thing puts S. haddoni to shame :)

I don't think the anemones there are C. adhesivum. I am almost 100% certain that they are S. tapetum. S. tapetum are very hardy.

Minh, S. tapetum don't have this outer ridge of tentacles (the band that looks so much like S. haddoni). Plus, S. tapetum DO have very notable exocoelic tentacles like those found in S. haddoni - tentacles which these anemones lack.

Here are some of dmzl's S. tapetum. Mine looks similar. Mine look similar to the ones posted for sale when they just arrive and not fully inflated
