Just wanted to say a few things about the new line of Super Reef Octopus Skimmers. Not to be confused with the new line of cone skimmers that they are also putting out. The full line can be viewed here : http://www.coralvue.com/SuperReef.html. The model I ended up grabbing was the SSS-5000 internal model. Not only is it in-sump, but the pump is actually located INSIDE the body of the skimmer! Makes for a very small footprint considering the size and power of this bad boy.
Specs:
Super Reef Octopus 5000sss Internal
Includes Bubble Blaster HY5000 pump inside chamber
Rated up to 300 gal.
Air intake: 81scfh
Dimensions: 10" x 12.5" x 24"
10" Diameter
Video of it in action after only a day of break-in.
( no vinegar bath prior to install )
Sorry for the lame quality, uploaded off of my mobile phone.

Definately looks to be a very well built skimmer, and the new bubble blaster pumps seem top notch. The clear venturi/volute on the pump if nothing else gets lots of +cool points.
