Superglue to stop STN?

Has anyone tried applying superglue over the area of the SPS that is STN'ing? I have a large acro that is stn'ing at the base and im unable to cut section off, so im looking for alternatives. Thanks for the advice.

I used the thin watery type for a couple wild colonies, worked out good for me.

It gets hot while setting and can burn the tissue.

+1 on the putty being warm. I've done it anyways though with putty and the tissue grew over it. Easy to just stick a tube of superglue gel into the tank and squeeze out some over the effected area then using my finger to mold it around the infected area though.

The original question is a bit old but I've done it with gel type and it worked in some areas. The coral grew back over the glue. I'll probably give the thin stuff a try next time.

i've done, it kinda works. If the piece is gonna go it's gonna go though. You still have to figure out why it's stn'n in the first place.

RTN= rapid tissue necrosis
STN=slow tissue necrosis

i had an sps start to stn in the middle and i used some glue and got lucky saved the colony. any pics of the location?

It doesn't always work. I've had success sometimes and not other times. If it doesn't work you're gonna have to cut it.

do you guys use the gel or the watery type. Also, do you take the frag out of the water or do it straight in the tank?
