I don't know about the dates or the scope but they were around 18 years ago. Some of them have to be expired.

Well, I hate to use a dirty word on this thread but may I ask about "¦.pumps? I have the dump bucket and I have designed a fairly high volume non-traumatic pump but I don't have the time to develop it right now.
In the mean time, I want to enhance the work that my existing pumps are doing. I have an old Dolphin SM 1212 external pump and there is an Eheim pump in the tank.
Right now, I have set up a nice roll in the tank by aiming the outflow of both pumps approximately in the same direction, angled up toward the surface from the far left, going right, up over the rock pile. The flow returns along the sand bed. When the water from the bucket falls, it conflicts with the pump flow. This interrupts the roll briefly but turning the pumps on and off would work better.
Can I use a controller to turn them on and off without damaging them over the long run?
