Surrogate Mother?

Anyone out there tried using a surrogate mother for clowns? Here's my scenario, I've got a occelaris and percula pair that just spawned and they will be shipped out tomorrow. They recently laid eggs either yesterday or today (not sure) I realize I don't need the parents to raise the egss but just wondering if anyone has ever tried placing the eggs (along with the pot) into another system with another species of clowns and seeing if they would raise them or how they would react?

I guess it would be an interesting experiement.

I would be placing the eggs in a tank with a Chrysopterus pair showing strong signs of a possible spawn.

what are your thoughts?

My clowns lay their eggs in an area of very high alternating flow and I notice that the male never aerates them.

Has anyone ever tried this?

I might just do it to see what happens

I know the aeration will help the eggs, I know how to raise them just wondering if the surrogate would attempt to raise them.

They will know it is not their eggs. They have not even lay any egg yet.
If they have eggs in an identical piece of tile, at the same area on the tile, then I can see that it may works, because you can fool them.
