Swallowtail angel with brookynella?

This guy has what seems to be brookynella? The white spots are not ich. they are larger, cotton-looking splotches mostly affecting fins. They disappeared after a Formalin bath but have returned after a few days.

Hard to get good pics, but you should be able to see the large white blotch on his tail and a few smaller ones on the dorsal fin...

Brookynella or something else?

He is still eating well does not scratch. What else could it be?

Will freshwater dips do any good?

sounds very like lymphocytis look it up if it is.

low stress ie no dips and good water quality will go a long way get some good food with added vitamins garlic etc.

it is a virus and there is no medicine for it.

Not Brook, but Lymphocystis a viral infection. Good nutrition should make it go a way. Not much you can do.

Absolutely not lymphocystis. It does have that look in the pics, but these things pop up within hours and are soft...
