Hello all,
I have a large cone skimmer for sale and it'll handle a large tank with ease. The only reason I'm selling it is that it's too big for my 120 medium stocked tank. I know they say that you can't have a skimmer that's too big but I've found that maintaining a consistent head of foam is almost impossible when the skimmer is rated at 4xs the size of my tank. I'm thinking that 2-3xs oversized is more appropriate in my case. [emoji1]
Specifics:
SWC 250 S2 cone skimmer - rated at 400gal heavy bioload , 500 gal medium bioload, and 700 gal light bioload.
Currently I only have 1 Sicce pump (backup) but installed a Reef Octopus DC5500s skimmer pump 5 months ago.
Asking $550 for the skimmer and both pumps, $350 for the skimmer wth the Sicce pump only.
Not looking for any trades but all reasonable offer will be considered.
Kurt
