Has anyone else had a problem with condensation on their cold water lines the last couple days? I have had my tank half full for about a week with no problems, then i filled it the rest of the way and now it is practically raining.

I would think that as warm and humid as it has been that it would be fairly common right now unless someone is running a dehumidifier or an A/C.

Yeah, it usually takes a few days for my bucket to fill from my air conditioner, its filling in about 16 hours now. Its the humid air, the ground warming up, moisture coming up through the concrete ect. Figure it will continue for a few weeks at least

Right now i 265 gallons of water in the basement (125 main tank, 2x 55 in water storage, 20 gallon tank, 10 gallons in temporary sump). Once my sump is built i will have 300 gallons. I originally thought my house was really dry and this much water wouldnt cause any issues, but i guess i was wrong. its not a problem right now as i dont have any ceiling tiles in, but once they go in i cant have the pipes dripping on brand new tile. I guess i'll buy a dehumidifier. I found some good deals on ebay, but they draw 8 amps and 850 watts. I dont have 8 amps left on my basement or fish room circuits...

You can also just insulate your cold water pipes.

The water coming into your house is still quite cold from the ground still being cold. When you run your cold water in this high humidity condensation forms on your cold water pipes.

Wrap them with foam insulation available from any hardware store and you won't have that problem.

Do not hesitate on getting a dehumidifier you are asking for trouble if you do not get one IMO.

my pipes are condensing under the sink where the RO unit is...I thought there was a leak at first
