Sweet! New RTBA!

Got tubes?
Hey all!

Picked up a RBTA from ohmfree tonight. And yep, he has more and would like to sell them. :) He told me to tell everyone to feel free to PM him about them... I think he has 3 or 4 he can sell after they start to move (I had to wait a week on this one to move, and I'm lucky it was that short!).

Anyway, here are some pics:

Good stuff! I can't wait for him to get settled in and redden up a bit. :)

Just thought I'd share because a lot of people have been after these things and he has a couple for sale and they look great! CJ got one from him, too. :)

How do you tell the sex on the RBT  hehe! Maybe by the time your have babys I be setup for one. Looks perrrrty!

Thanks Tom!

Whats funny and kind of ridiculous is that in the 45 minutes since I took those photos, he/she/it has already run away and is now hiding back in my rocks. Go figure!

AWESOME!!! I want one LOL ... Are you worried about it stinging corals as they move? I have a pair of percs that would love a home but i always thought we could not do an anemone in a heavily stoked coral tank.

I am a bit concerned about him stinging some other corals, but hopefully he'll choose a home I approve of. Dave (ohmfree) said that his usually didn't sting and a trick to get them to stay somewhere is to feed them when they're where you want them. Sometimes that works. :)

I'm really grateful I was able to get this one. Hopefully he'll split soon and I can share the love. ;)

Nice looking anemone, Brandon. I'm going to have to see if he's willing to ship (and trade:)). I've been wanting an RBTA for a while now. GBTA's are fun, but RBTA's draw more attention;).

I'm real happy for you Brandon! But a word of caution about babies you don't have yet, as for It's easy for things to not go as planned. As far as the Anemone staying where you want it to Good luck mine never have. Be careful it don't get sucked in your overflow or powerhead, They tend to float around till their happy With the flow and light they are getting ( I Think ) Anyway good luck with it.

RBTAs are hands down one of the absolute best aquarium critters. They are gorgeous and easy to keep once you've master the fundamentals of aquarium keeping, and anytime you want another you can just slice 'em in half. :D

Provided... you don't care if they occasionally destroy corals and you MUST cover your pump intakes.

Congrats on such a lovely young specimen. As to whether it's male or female you have to catch them sexually reproducing to find out. ;)

Maybe by next years swap I'll be able to trade ya something, Gary... or maybe one of the summer swaps. :)

Thanks Bill! And I hear ya.... I'm anxious to see where he ends up staying put. The only pumps he is exposed to are my Koralias. I don't *think* they would pose a threat. Any thoughts?

Maybe he won't destroy too many corals, Nicole. :)

Yes they can get into stuff you wouldn't think they could so keep an eye on them. One of mine got sucked in the Venturi of a Maxi jet skimmer pump which I thought was impossible!! But it did.

I had a GBTA get sucked into a Maxi Jet 900.

I was able to remove the intake screen with the anemone still attached. But it never recovered...

Wow! I will definitely keep an eye on him. Thanks guys. :)

He is now front and center... at least for now. He moved literally almost all the way around the rock he was on to end up where he almost was last night. :) Whatever works!
