It's still alive and well but I was wondering at what size doesthe color cange start

I wanted to bump to say it's doing good it hasn't grown much but it's getting bolder I saw it eating flakes today

That's Fantastic! I was, and to a certain extent still am, in the ney sayer's crowd on this fish. 3+ months is pretty good. I would treat this like quitting smoking:

What's weird is today was the first time I ever saw it eat but it doesn't seem like its staving at all its fat I think it's eating microfauana I do have a qustion though when should it start to change color

I love how 80% of replies imply the impending doom of this fish. I read early on YOU said you were aware it was difficult... So not sure why they'd re tell you that. ANYWAY... Good luck to the future. You like the fish you have the funds for the fish you buy the fish. Simple as that. Enjoy it. You try your best to keep it alive there is no fault. I can remember when ALL saltwater fish were considered tricky. You never try you never learn.
