Swimming pool conversion into Reef Aquarium

What is this type of boat called? I know they are ubiquitous in some parts of Thailand. I have a friend that wants to build one.

Not sure, but aren't they called sanpans

So far I've been given "Reụ̄x phāy" and "เรือ ตลาด". I'll pass "sanpan" on to him and see how he fares with that.

not to hijack the thread or anything but they're called เรือไม้ basically its just a "wood boat" here in Thailand. I think the technical term is เรือพาย which is saying its a "paddle boat"

The pond has currently 60 Koi Carp so far and 4 cat fish in it

it seems a good bit of the pool is covered by the pergolas. why not put rain gutters on and route the water away from the pond, thus minimumizing the amount of fresh water entering the pool?
