i am no scientist, but as far as salt is conserned. tropic marin is a few more $$ than the rest. is there a reason why? just like a BMW is more $$ than a Ford. better quaility??
.
BTW... tropic marin is winning the poll 24 vote out of 28

IMO Tropic Marin is more consistent. Manufacturing costs might be higher to maintain a certain level of quality.

I would gradually change salts doing weekly 20% water changes.

This should be gradual enough, but still get the job done.

IMO, I think most of the salts perform the same. However, there are some bad ones and better ones out there. I'm not sur is if it's worth the extra cash for some of the premium salts, but it is worth it to get a good one...I'm using Oceanpure with good results.
