this its a dual question in one,, cause i wanted to know really 2 thing.

first i have a tank that its weird shaped, its a 110x or in reality 115gal
the dimension are 48x18x31 so its deeper than normal right now i have 2x 250w mhl with 96w atinick

so with that been said, i wanted to know if LEDs will be able to reach down at the 31 inch mark with enough PAR, what i really looking for its an LED like my current light that would give me the choice of having what eva coral i choose to have, regarless of type.

2nd question its since im going with this led system, i want as much bang for my bucks, so i would like to be able to control everything that its posible to be controlled,,, i would like moon phases/lightning storm/ etc/etc/

what you guys would recommend for this idea that i have?

Are you looking to DIY the LED? If so, you can design your LED to get the PAR you need. It will all come down to the type, number of LEDs, height above water and the lenses used (if any). With my setup, I'm able to move the LED modules around as needed. I like mixed tanks and therefore, having a flexible system works out well. I have a few areas that support SPS and other for softies. Also, by having the various colors on different circuits, I can adjust color and intensity. With separate circuits, you can also mimic a number of different lighting scenarios. Since I’m cheap, I run my LED system as well and my powerheads off of a Christmas light controller so that I have complete control of water flow and lighting conditions.
