T-5 lighting question

I just found this light on hellolights:

My question is, how many would it take to be enough to keep some lsp, soft corals, and ect in a 75 gallon? Would I be better off just getting a 4 bulb vho retro?

simply unsure... most of a T-5's efficiency comes from a awesome reflector (like the Tek reflectors at reefgeek). Plus, I have heard that Actinics for T-5s aren't that hot.

You really want the ones that have the individual reflectors Like Icecaps SLR. If you want any of those watts to reach the bottom.

wow thats a nice little light. key word "LITTLE" light

they are no, normal output. ho, high output T5 at 48" are 54watts a peice, and if run on an icecap ballast run at about 80watts.

so, how many of these would you need, way too many to be useful. they are just not intense enough. its like getting a 40watt bulb. even twn of then wouldnt produce the intensity given off by one 200w bulb.

in any case those may be some nice little light for a fo tank or sump/refugium
