T5 Bulb recomendations

Hello,

I have two 48" Aquatinics Constellation units that are being used over a 12'L x 36"W x 12" deep vat housing frags of zoos, chalices, and acans. I am looking into what bulbs would be best for this. These units house 7 bulbs.

This is being used at an aquaculture facilty, and we have a preference for a more bluish color. For example we use 20k metal halide bulbs.

If I could have the input of what brand and what specific bulbs and bulb combinations people recommend that would be awesome.

Also I remember a site I found a link to on here that showed different MH bulbs of different brands and kelvin rating over the same tank? Is there a site that has such comparisons with t5 bulbs.

Again all input is greatly appreciated.

What about a combination of ATI Aqua Blues and Blue +?

I would probably throw a fiji purple in there for some color.

I like my aquasun, it is really pink but it looks great

I would do 5 blue plus 1 fiji and 1 aquablue, that should give you a nice blue look

This is what I use on my 14 bulb 72" Aquactinics T-5 fixture. Hope it helps.

for more blue look replace the UVL Super Actinic with a ATI Blue Plus. My corals grow like wildfire with my bulbs. Zoa & monti caps do very well. Even had a BTA split 3 times.

Here's my set up now: from front to back same on both sides.

(1) switch 1 on first, (2) switch 2 on second, (3) switch 3 on last.

(1) ATI Blue Plus
(3) ATI Aquablue Special 12,000K
(2) UVL Aquasun 10,000K
(1) UVL Super Actinic
(2) UVL Aquasun 10,000K
(3) ATI Aquablue Special 12,000K
