t5 bulbs needed,where ta get em?

hey guys im needing t5 bulbs,thinking of getting them from sean at EB but i dont know yet,i need four before the swap and i havent found the "good" ones like ati and uvl for much less then 110 online cause of the dang shipping costs and "special handing" thats a joke but what ever lol anyways if ya guys know of good bulbs let me know

Have u tried ReefGeek or hello lights? I'm bout to order 8 t5 bulbs in the next couple weeks.

ouch. I tend to order my bulbs in advance, Drs Foster and Smith has them on sale 1-2 times a year in the $15 range, usually with free shipping.

yeah but from what i hear drs fs doesnt have that great a bulb and um no im not paying 98 bucks on 4 bulbs....thats just a rip off lol

I got some bulbs from a place called SOS lights My 250 w Phoenix HQIS were only 50.00 each. I not sure if they carry T5s or not but give them a shot aswell.

ill try them....EB wants 100 bucks for 4 wave point bulbs and AC ranges from 16-32 bucks ea.

BRS has lights and so does aquacave, who has very reasonable shipping. AC has better pruchasing power and more selection. Talk to Chris the owner and work with him directly. 4 bulbs really isn't much of an order to expect a big discount from anyone, but CHris will do what he can.

The packaging to insure they don't break adds cost for the vendor. $18-$22 is about the going rate for ATI/UVL; Gieseman and Korallen-Zucht slightly more. DFS carries the UVL bulbs and you can get them on sale for $15 as pointed out. You might save a buck or two a bulb if you shop around but on 4 bulbs it is only going to add up to a few percent savings. Good luck.

I only need 4 36" bulbs, though.

why can't we get someone local to carry ATI/UVL/KZ Lamps? I would think that they could buy in quanity and get better shipping prices so that even with the mark up we would still save on buying them at a LFS. It would be worth it to spend and extra few bucks a lamp to have the convience for me to pick up a few at a time in stead of having to save for a 250+ lamp purchase (8-48in tubes) because of the additional shipping charges. Can anyone shed some light on this? I know AC carries Geismann but everything else you see locally are very poor quality T5 lamps!...unless there are some sleeper no name high quality lamps that I do not know about yet!?
