T5 Lighting on a 220 - need help

First, let me preface this by saying that I have kept SPS before under MH, but have been away from the hobby for a couple years. I am now in the planning stages of a 220 gallon tank (72"x24"x31") and would like to save on electricity and heat.

I am considering wither the AI LED Sol Blue fixtures or some sort of T5 set up.

I would like to stick with fixtures on a T5 set up as an option.

Firstly - Should I go LED or T5?

Second - If T5, what fixture(s)?

Third - What combination of bulbs?

Thanks

I guess if your thinking about a sps tank my preference would be two 36" 6 or 8 bulb t5 setups. I think your better off looking/asking in the lighting forum...

Mike-

I can only speak to t5 and then only to build quality etc as my system is newly setup, but I'm very happy with my 8 Bulb ATI Powermodule. It's the dimmable version which is nice as well.

What size tank are you using it on and which ATI system are you using? What bulb combination?

Hey Mike-

I'm running the 8x24W Powermodule over a 50 gallon rimless cube, 24x24x20.
