t5 question for you local guys

Really I didn't know that. I heard there was a hint of red, but I still thought they would be a darker purple. It seems like 3 ATI's and 1 Fiji purple might be more what I was looking for. I'll post some pics in an hour when it's just the actinics. (My fish are night owls)

Here is a pic of the old t5 actinics. It wasn't quite as blue as these pics suggest. (And this is months ago)

Nice! I was just going to suggest to take one FP out if you didn't like the colouration. You can try also the CL. KZ recommends the usage of their FP to CL at 1:1. CL is the bulb that's white with the hint of red.

Looks nice. So you recommend running 1 fuji purple and 3 ATI blue + instead of 2 each?

I would go 3 and 1. Two fiji's really make my actinics seem red more than anything else. I'm about to switch one out. If anyone is planning on ordering bulbs, let me know. I'll split shipping.

I just bought a few to play with...

2 KZ Fiji Purple
2 ATI ATI blue +
4 UVL Super Blue Actinic

I figure these should last me two times around.

Thank you. I do too. Nuuze let me know what combo you end up with? I'm interested in the UVL's as well.
