just want to know if there are any space or heat issues, if either fits of course.

how many will fit if retro?

what tek light is max for it, if possible?

thanks,

fp

You have 15 Ã"šÃ‚½Ã¢â"šÂ¬Ã‚ front to back any more than that you will lose height because of the canopy framing. You have a height of 4ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚
At least for the canopy that I have. Which is a standard oak for the 90 gal.
Dimensions on a Tek-Light T5 Fixture - 6 Bulb are : 48" L x 15" W x 2.5" H
I donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t have t-5 to tell you about heat only that my PC does heat up from being under the canopy.
I know there was a thread before saying . ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œ It made it hard to service your tank when working around a light that took up the entire top.

about working on a tank...

i have seen retro and even a full tek light mounted on the inside of the canopy. then when the canopy is flipped open, the lights are also raised. so no issue with that.

now, the heat is another story. but with a retro, the ballasts arent in there. do you have your ballasts in the canopy with your lights?

my main issues is trying to find out if those pictures i saw with the t5 retro and t5 tek light were mounted on the inside of a standard oceanic canopy.

if you get retrofits, you will be fine. getting a tek light is a waste of money if you are putting it in a canopy.

the icecap reflectors are 2.5 inches wide each, the tek reflectors are 2.35 inches wide, and the aqualux reflectors are a tad over 3" wide.

the aqualux and the icecap work the best, and have the most PAR , and the pricepoint as follows are aqualux the least expensive, tek nearly 2x as pricey as the aqualux, and the icecap a little more money than the tek reflectors.
