Tag, YOU'RE IT!! Everyone play along, will be fun!

Super Saiyan
So based on this game on Facebook where people tag others and they have to put up 5 pictures of themselves and what they think makes them who they are, I wanted to start something similar to that here, but with our tanks.

Idk if this has been done before, but if everyone would play along, it'll be fun and intersting to see everyone's tank and info on it, it's different than the sticky above where people volunteer to post up pics of their tanks, with this they are tagged and they must provide info, more of a nomination than volunteer for some of those shy folks ;) don't have to be a "MARS" member to be tagged. Just as long as they are somewhat tied to the sacramento area. Also, don't have to be someone you know personally, can be anyone you want that you know is in Sac/ tied to Sac area.

We'll just keep going until hopefully everyone in sac has been tagged. Maybe it'll make it as a sticky that way we can always refer to it and it can provide info for others who are looking to buy something and want to know who here runs it. It can keep going because once somebody upgrades or downgrades, they can be tagged again for the new system.

So this is how it works, simple: I'll start the tag since I'm posting this:
this person has to provide info on their tank based on the layout below (don't have to follow layout perfectly, it's just to provide a "template" on what they can tell us about their tank, but any creative way of doing it is welcomed).
Then they have to post up five pictures of their tank (again just a number, but more or less is fine.) but these photos should provide the viewers an idea of at least what makes this system "what it is" (as in what makes the person who they are, based on the Facebook game.)
Then this person has to tag someone else. (They are responsible for letting the other person know that they've been tagged.) and the game continues.
To make this game continue and not just another thread that disappears; please if you get tagged, play along within 24hrs-48hrs or so, the sooner the better though to keep this thread alive ;) if for some reason you just don't feel like playing, please just inform us on this thread and tag someone else ;)
Please just tag 1 person, not like 3 at a time lol. But the person tagged, can choose to do one tank only, or all his/her tank at once if they have multiples.

Template:

Tank info: maker/brand/glass or acrylic, dimensions/ size in gallons
Sump: brand/ maker/ glass or acrylic, dimensions/ size in gallons
Refugium: if any, and any info on it like dimensions etc
Skimmer: make/model, likes dislikes, etc
Flow: powerheads/ closed loops / make/model, how many, likes dislikes, etc
Lighting: make/model, what kind (mh, t5, LEDs, etc), how many, Refuge light?, any other info
Dosing/caRx: what make/model, other associated accessories, any info
Controller if any: brand/make /model, what does it control, modules, any info
Maintenance info: when, what, how?
Anything else you want us to know: history on tank, future plans, who you feel deserves some credit for your tank, etc, etc
Feel free to add anything else you want here.

I'll tag Glynn (Relientkid). Tag, YOU'RE IT DUDE!!
I know he's not here in sac anymore, but he just moved and I wanna see pics of his tank!

Alright! With the big move from Sac to San Jose, lots has changed. Not to mention the selling of my other nano tanks to get ready for the baby. I have tried to make this tank as child safe as possible. Still has a little work yet in er but it's at a point where I feel good enough to show the world.

Everything is ran through waterproof/childproof GFCI outlet

Signature 60 gallon Starphire Keith Grant cube(24x24x24).
30 gallon acrylic sump with built in 3 gallon display reguigium. Lit with BoostLED
5 gallon glass ato tank
Bubble Magus NAC7 skimmers just right for me and cleans easily.
Mag9 return (hums so you always know she's running smooth)
Vortech MP40 & Vortech MP10 perfect combo for a 60g cube.
Custom fixture, 2x24" T5 ATI Blue+ & Radion gen2 (grows everything but looking to add another x2 24" ATI & upgrade to gen3pro)
BubbleMagus dosing 3 part doser (2part B-Ionic + B-IonicMag)
All controlled by APEX FULL unit
Weekly 10 gallon water changes. Maintain salinity at 1.026 with ReefCrystals

Mixed reef but mostly sps and z&p with a smattering of chalices and favias
2 Black Darwin Clowns, 1 Lyretail Anthias, 1 Mystery Wrasse & 1 Kole Tang
Clean up crew consists of about 30 misc snails and two Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp

Next big step is the custom child proof cabinetry (whatever the heck that means)

Shout out to MARS club members and leaders. You guys rock.
Thanks Ginger aka Gem (last tank owner)
Props to my boy Josh aka Jthao (my gear dude) always has just what you need.

Na it literally happened within a few weeks :/

Dude, that's a badass set up bro!! I regret not seeing it before. Love the light!!! With that light, You did exactly what I planned to do!! Very nice bro! I can't wait to see it in person when I come to sj!

And good idea about adding in info for livestocks, I forgot to mention that on the template, I guess all other info was for that, lol. Oh and thanks for playing along and the quick post! Helps to make the thread alive and more exciting!

Will, you're IT!!!

Well thank you Glynn for the tag :fun2:.

My tank has been set up for around a year. Its had its up and downs and was on a good stride till i recently moved. The move was uneventful, but did slow growth which is just starting to pick back up.

Tank: 40B

Sump: 29G

Tank is skimmed by a SWC 120 which seems to do an ok job, however not super impressed with it.

I used 1/2 cup of GFO in 2 TLF 150 reactors (1/4 cup each). I change out the GFO in 1 reactor every 2 weeks, alternating the reactors to minimize swings.

I also use lignite carbon passively by the way of 1/2 cup. I change this out every 3-4 weeks.

The flow is provided by a Jebao DC6000 return pump, 2 koralias pointed behind the rock work, and 2 wp25's set to 85% controlled by a JBwave.

I use a RKL to control my heaters and 2 BRS dosers (ALK & CAL).

Lighting is 2 AI Vega blue's and 2 Blue plus T-5's.

Weekly 5g water changes with IO is my normal routine, along with changing the filter socks 2 times a week.

Its an SPS dominated tank with a few chalice and Favia. (the zoas and lps moved to the wives tank)

Stocking is 2 clowns, a starki damsel, 6 line, and a chromis.

I will goose Jeff aka 79chopperdr. :celeb3:

Nice tank Will!!! Thanks for taking the time to show us your tank.
What's the chalice in the last pic? looks awesome!
And 2 Vegas over a 40b!! I used a Vega over an elos 70, which is a 55g, and it was plenty of light, I could only imagine 2 on a 40b!

Thanks, Josh. Im not sure on the name of the chalice, it looks similar to a mummy eye though.

Thanks Will.....Here it is. The tank is going pretty good, the summer has not been without bumps. Including Saturday morning when I went to take pics for this thread and one of my MH wouldn't fire cause a ballast crapped out.

Tank info: Oceanic Brick, 3/4" glass, no braces, 210 gallons

Sump: Acrylic 60 gallon, just two chambers

Frag Tank: 25 gallon glass cube, lit by 150w Sunpod

Refugium: not functional, just wanted to see if I could grow chaeto under a ikea desk lamp.

Skimmer: SRO3000SSS, I really like it, but it sucks up a lot of snails then sounds like a card in the spokes

Flow: WP40 x 3, WP60, Dual Eheim 1262 return pumps

Lighting: Radium 250w/ lumen max elite/ galaxy

Dosing/caRx: Geo 618 w aquarium plants reg. best investment ever!

Etc: Aqua UV 57 watt, only running 300 gph through it. I'm only interested in killing stuff. My hillbilly chiller is two vornado fans over the display and sump.

Controller: Apex junior for lights, pumps and fans

Maintenance info: bi weekly 40 gallon water changes, carbon in a reactor, GFO in a reactor.

Anything else you want us to know: I never feed my corals directly. Fearing the fish police, I don't want to disclose my actual fish population numbers. Let's just say there's a lot of poo in there and the coral love it!

Take the tour. http://youtu.be/Se1akjy5g8U
