Tag, YOU'RE IT!! Everyone play along, will be fun!

Hannah did you notify general toaster? It's part of the game, the person tagging is responsible for getting in touch with the person they tag. it just works better that way, if we wait for the person tagged to come on to see that they've been tagged or hope for someone else to tell them, then sometimes it doesn't happen and the game gets derailed for too long. Thanks!

Since I'm currently between computers and uploading photos from my phone is a total hassle (not to mention my tank looks kinda chappy at the moment), I nominate justin/jetblack until I can get myself together

We have been in the apartment since April/May 2013. We have a total of 5 permanent tanks running: 120 Gallon SPS/LPS/Chalice tank, 300 Gallon Mixed Reef, 75 Gallon tank set up for our turtles, and a 10 Gallon Fresh Water Plant Tank.

I don't think you guys do anything small scale. Looks great!!

One of the nice things about the spontaneous nature of this thread is that (1) we've all got something we want to do on our tanks before others see them and (2) the rest of us don't care and just like looking at the tanks -- especially other people's tanks. It's inspiring and motivating (at least for me).

Ya were always doing crazy things like going to fish meetings, watching Netflix, a couple times we've gone to the dog park! You just cant hold back our wild and free nature!

I've a couple times thought about something where I post pictures every other day or weekly, something with a time schedule. That way Ill have to clean my tank and make it look good all the time. Good thing that I've been on my water changes, it wasn't hard to figure that Hannah would nominate me.

okay okay okay. But it won't be pretty. like, even a little.
As result of the tragic death of my main display piece, a toadstool probably over 9 in wide, I've had a cyano outbreak and have been neglecting my tank

These are of the biocube that I'm hosting for the school club. It's beginning to grow on me though.

And of course I can't leave out my urchin with the fro/weave!

And here are some of my tank... slightly shameful but this must be done. Still mourning the death of my toadstool. In the meantime, anyone have any good cyano remedies??

The candy cane is Justin's but I'm actually super proud of my monti and the duncan that you can't see behind the nem (he's got about 15 heads)

And my favorite little guy outside his burrow by the mushroom garden. Other fishy inhabitants include a yellow coris wrasse, two bengaais, and a skunk cleaner.
I'd really love to show off, I've had some good growth lately, but I just can't because of the mess.

Thanks Hannah, I tag Justin :uzi::deadhorse::bounce1:

Some tips for the algae problem. Do a heavy cleaning. Water change of course. Manually remove as much algae as possible. Lights off for a few days. Your corals will be fine. Repeat these steps until algae is back under control. Are you using an inTank media basket on those tanks?

Just another thought. When I did water changes on my biocube I would use a turkey baster to blow water against the rocks to dislodge the algae. And then suck up algae with said baster.

I got it at last MARS swap as a frag about over an inch. I think it was just labeled green monti. I really don't recall.

Here's a recent-ish close up photo. I absolutely love the PE.
