Lesya,
I've never seen such striations around the mouth of an RBTA before. Not sure what they indicate (not saying it's bad though)
Concerning the powerheads, I guess it's very important to screen and turn them on the soonest possible:
An anemone will chose her location depending on lighting and flow. if you turnt he powerheads on when you think the anemone have chosen a location, hte change of flow might distrub the anemone and cause it to move again to another area it thinks it likes till you turn the powerheads again.... that might not help the anemone settle in.
Hopefully it will settle in soon.

Well let me be the first to say the MSX skimmer people startled me. I originally thought their customer service was horrible and that the product was great. Well apparently there was a mail exchange issue and no email was being received from me. My two minor issues are being resolved now with no additional charge and I received a call personally explaining the issue and apologizing for the problem. I can't speak for cross border issues but within the states they have impressed me. my 2 cents.

Ok. Leysa, do you think you will be able to keep the tank is without hawking anything out?

Tim, I'm sorry but I'm a bit slow on the uptake... can you rephrase your question?

I haven't seen many nem mouths, so I don't know if it is normal or not. It has always looked like this, since I got her. She is a clone, so maybe that has something to do with it?

I have been doing my best with not having to turn off the powerheads-- hence the "powerhead watch." I turned half of them off while I was gone because I couldn't possibly monitor her nor intervene if she got too close. I checked on my tank first thing when we returned-- she's back behind the rocks, way deep. I'm being patient, and just hoping that her final destination is in an area that I can appreciate her beauty.

Scott,

Gorgeous tank you have, there. ;) That Copper Band is a real looker. And that clam... wow..

You mean how it's a bit "Gapped?"

Sorry Leysa. I thought a little bit ago you stated you may have to stop buying fish stuff and may even have to sell something. I just hope you don't have to sell anything your tank is looking quite nice!

Oh and my GBTA has similar striations around it's mouth and is a happy happy anemone.

I'd pitch in a bit for upkeep too. :)

I still think the girls should do the "wet and wild" pics with their tanks and we could make a 2009 calendar--all the funds to them
:mixed:  :mixed:
