After 4 days, the male finally showed up for a couple off hours.....now he's out every day for a couple off hours and eating mysis, still having a hard time by the other Anampses and specially the male and female Meleagrides...
On the 6th day still no sign off the female:eek:,I think she's dead???

How is he doing now? I would consider the female dead, but you never know... I have had anampses disappear and never saw them again.

My male today, too bad I didn't got a full shot of him.

What do the experts think? Full male, or does he have to go through some more changes?

I picked up this twistii about 4 weeks ago. Spent about 2 weeks in the sand and then only started comming out with the lights off for a couple of hours in the morning. Has just recently acclimated to the light schedule and is out with the lights on most of the day. Eating off the rocks but doesnt seem to eat when I feed the tank just yet. Hopeing it catches on soon.

How about a pair of Anampses Meleagrides, they're more beautiful than the Twistii IMO,I have a Twistii and he's not so spectacular but maybe we are to spoiled:D?
I'm still waiting for the pair Chrysocephalus and Rubricephalus...
say hello to Thomas for me:D

fireman get yourself some live brine shrimp and he will eat that for sure . then you can slowly switch him over to frozen foods such as cyclops or pe mysis . believe me they will go for the live brine which makes it so much easier for you because if he is eating he will gain strength fast and that is key with wrasses for sure .
yes 100% blue spot tamarin wrasse

I got two little babies today, anyone want to guess which species?

Will get a pic once they have acclimatised. ATM they are in the sump in a tank with some sand to ensure they are eating before going in dispaly.

Hi fireman1, I just bought a young blue spotted tamarin female too!
She look exactly like this one http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1937254&page=4
Mine mostly feed on Nls pellets and Pe mysis. The fish is still in quarantine with prazipro and low salinity. I'll post a video when I will put her in DT.
How much did you paid for?
David

I paid very little for mine, the LFS where I bought it thought it was a black leopard wrasse. So I ended up paying 24.99. Hope yours is doing good, mine is a little pig. Eats frozen mysis and anything else I throw in the tank since day 1.

Well I hope it's two baby femininus :lol2: I'd like to have some, one day, soon...

Who doesn't want to have those:thumbsup:??But they are soooo hard to find...

BTW: the Chrysocephalus are both still alive and kicking:dance: though the female still isn't on the right time-shedule....the male eats like a pig and especially de live mysis I catched for them....haven't seen the female really eat,but she must been eating something after all these weeks because she is still not skinny...
