Tamarin Wrasse Primer.

I'd like to see some FTS :) I have always thought you could only keep tamarins in a big reef, but I see other setups and they seem to do fine.

Here's mine, 9 month old 450g reef, total system 1000g

I picked up a Blue Spot tamarin last week. I haven't seen it eat any prepared foods, but was picking at rocks all the time. It was always out swimming around the entire tank, not being bothered by any of the other fish. Today I get home and it's not out swimming around like it has been. Look all around the floor (I do have a screen top), looked all around sand bed-no sign of it. Is it normal for them to change their "normal" time out of the sand? Getting a bit worried.
Here is a blurry pic.

Nevermind. I found him dead on the sand bed today.:(

Quick question for all you wrasse junkies...

I saw an absolutely stunning lennardi waiting for export recently. The fish was easily a foot long but had the most amazing facial markings...nothing like the smaller ones half its size.

I was briefly tempted to take one or two of the smaller ones home until the proprietor said my blood shrimp would almost certainly be on the menu. Is this true of most of these wrasses?

thanks for your help!

Maybe not while they are small but most of these Tamarins get pretty big and they'll definitely eat some shrimp.
