You beat me to it! :mad2: I was going to scoop it up as soon as I saw the email notification! Good luck with it though, post more updates!

They are very cool fish. Once they get used to the tank they will swim out in the open as well as hover near the rocks looking for pods. I have found that they are finicky eaters though and will only go for brine and mysis. I have had two in the past and neither ate flake, pellets, or frozen bloodworms.

I just recently lost mine for no reason. It has just disappeared and I have not see it at all in about 3 weeks. I have checked the overflow, sump, and floor and no sign of it. :(

oh bummer, sorry for the loss. i don't feed any flakes or pellets. i feed frozen mysis, frozen brine, rod's food, arctipods and r.o.e. all of my fish go nuts for it all of those but most especially the mysis. i feed with an eye dropper and as soon as it breaks the surface, the fish come up and take turns sucking the food out.

the little guy is out and about tonight, not nearly as bashful as i thought he would be. :)

Mine doesn't stop eating my CUC. Wont go near any type of food even if it hits him in the face. Will have to see if he grows out of this or else take him to the LFS.

Nice fish. Have had a few over the years. Quite reclusive, particularly at first; and may not do well with larger, aggressive feeders. GL.

May I ask what CUC crew he is eating? Never had this problem with mine and can't imagine wetmorellas eating anything but the smallest critters??

Yeah mine were very outgoing and visible cruising around the tank, until I added some larger anthias. Then I seldom saw them. Interestingly the other fish never harass them, but I could imagine other wrasse or bullies being a problem for them.

Guess it depends on what you keep, tank size and available shelter. Otherwise a quiet tank seems to suit them best.

Enjoy your fish Nina.

I have a yellow banded possum wrasse. The most amazing, fascinating personality I've ever seen in a fish. I swear to god he breaks up fights, he always welcomes new additions by swimming near them, he's the only fish my firefish isn't afraid of, he will curl his body as if to submit to all the other fish to make them feel comfortable. It's so clear that he's leaps and bounds smarter than all the other fish.

He never hides, and never stops moving. He covers the entire 65 gallons every hour. Which is why I cringe when I see them listed for 10gallon minimum. Sometimes I think my 65 gal is too small for him.

If anything happened to him, my wife and I would legitimately cry. Incredible fish.

I've considered adding either the Tanaka's or the yellow banded possum wrasse. I just think that some of my current fish would be too aggressive for one.

What do you think?

Current fish:
Cherub Angel (my terrorist fish)
Pair Mocha Ocellaris clowns
Yellow candy Hog fish (newest addition get along with everyone)
McCosker's wrasse
Midas Blenny
Royal Gramma
