yellow mimic tang compatible with powder brown tang? the mimic looks alt like a pygmy angel so i figure since they look nothing alike the may be ok but wanted to get some feedback before making any moves

Two tangs in a 55 gallon tank is not going to work out well when the RC recommendations for a powder brown tang is 125 gallons.

I completely agree to this. Also, a 55 gallon is too small for any tang, IMO. 12" front to back just isn't enough room to turn around for an active fish.

You'll be much better off in the long run.
