tang crapping worms

my tang has been deficating worms for a while. at first he was good, then he got it a couple months after i bought him. i started feeding him a lot at first thinking that he was just skinny because of lack of food. it went away and recently came back. it is clearly a mass of worms coming out at once. they usually exit him; being about .75-1" long. segmented and translucent.

how do i treat him.

Fortunately, you can treat the fish in the display tank.

You need to feed it medicated food. The medication I recommend is Praziquantel. You can use any medication available at your LFS that contains this ingredient.

this medication is safe for my fully stocked mixed reef?

Yes.

This medication is not put into the water. This medication is put into your fish's food and fed directly to the fish. In the fish it kills the worms.
