My tang has either picked up a parasite or some disease I cant seem to ID it . The tang has always hid alot so its hard to see and get good pic this was the best I could get today. Its a pinkish red thing on its right side between the gill and the fin if you look closely you should see it. Any info at all would be very helpfull Thanks

Foselone,
External fungal infections (Saprolegnea) are virtually non-existent in marine aquariums. Besides, you'd be able to see the hyphae.

dman, what about the white spots on the fish's forehead and at both nostrils? Do those seem normal to you? I can't tell from the photo, but those spots don't look right either. Regarding the lesion, does it look like a growth coming up from inside the fish's gill chamber? Is the fish a long-term captive?

I've seen smooth red lesions protruding from the gills of fish that were suffering from thyroid hyperplasia (goiter). Most cases are caused by iodine defficiency, but there are also goiter-causing compounds that can be present, and of course tumors can cause these as well. That said, I have NEVER seen that problem in a tang being kept in a reef tank before.

the white spots are from being chaced into rock by sohal Ive only had for short time he eats fine, and it dose not seem to bother him,he is not even tring to remove it. I wish I could get better pic I thing its getting bigger but mabe its comming off

PIcture not clear enough to identify - hard to get perspective on size - you might consider doing a google search on cirolanid/isopods to rule that out (s/b some pictures on-line).
