i snuck out before dinner to get the pics. of the kole. i only brought the point and shoot camera so these are the best i could do. plus they were really busy and the tank was dirty from catching all those fish.

what is the scientific name for this fish. it's beautiful

Ctenochaetus binotatus
 
really cool fish cl2ysta1. how old and big is it? i've never seen one like it. wonder if it will get along with the kole. gotta do more research on it.

i'm doubting it will get along with a kole. they are essentially the same fish from different areas. It is about 3.5 inches long. I've had it for a year now. Great personality eats out of my hand. It is however boss of the tank. gets along great with the other tangs, but the wrasses make him quite angry a lot. they are actually a pretty cheap fish, and are locally abundant here. I had been wanting one for a long time after seeing one on a large tank build thread online. After moving to Utah from ohio they were much more readily available. I only paid 35.00 for him
 
nice tangs....anybody else with any rare tang..?? koi tang, gem tangs. would love to see someones gem tang?????
 
no that was a joke. i don't have one. i meant i could have one but we went to disneyland instead.
another name for it is "YOU PAID HOW MUCH FOR THAT" TANG...lol. my lfs has sold a few for about $3,500 each. i wish i could buy one but i already feel guilty not telling the wife how much i am spending on corals. we probably could go to europe first class...lol.
