tank at one year

This being my third marine tank you would think things would become easier....wrong, this tank has been more of a challenge than ALL previous tanks freshwater and marine. The learning curve on this one was less of a curve and more of a roller coaster. After a nasty case of rtn brought on by my own stupidity, I lost most of my sps (switched salts without a gradual change). I was ready to take up needle point or something safe like base jumping after that. Needless to say I stuck with it... I guess after forty years in the same hobby quitting isn't easy or what I wanted... what do I want you ask?? To grow really cool looking corals, both sps and lps. I know that at one year my tank is still a baby and its MY baby. With what I've learned just over the past several months should make the next few years a breeze. cheers... Bob

this was the start

Saw a current photo in the LED thread, I must say I was VERY impressed with your tank. Can you share some details on your tank (other than whats in your signature).

1. What do you run for filtration other than rocks and sand?
-How much rocks do you have roughly in the whole system?
-GFO?
-GAC?
-Ozone?
-Carbon dosing like Vinegar/Vodka/Biopellets etc?
-Anything else? Refugium etc?

2. What is your PO4 and NO3 levels?

3. How often do you carry out water changes and how much?

4. What do you feed your fish and SPS corals?

5. Do you run Calcium Reactor or Dose 2/3 Part? Any other additives?

Many thanks.

Many thanks for taking the time to answer all that.

Can you just explain the 08 to 14 PO4? Is that 08 to 14 on the Hanna ULR Phosphorus meter? Or 0.08 to 1.4ppm? :eek1:

Also, many thanks for posting the new images. Tank looks brilliant!

I don't shame often, but the Copperband does not belong in a 60 gal, he needs at least a double sized tank. I hope that is temporary or you have another in the works.
