I am going to be breaking down my 40 gallon tank sometime this week and desperatly need someplace or someone to buy/take care of some specimens for a short while...

I have the following that needs a temporary home if anybody is willing to help with any or all of the contents of the tank....

40-50 lbs live rock
- several pieces are covered with various polyps and/or mushrooms
plate coral
candy canes
marshall island tri color sps
small perc clown(no stripes, hes retarded, lol)
hi-fin shrimp goby
starry eye blenny
diamond goby

Please let me know asap if anyone is interested, I am willing to sell everything, or "loan" any or all, I just need to find someplace to keep this stuff for the summer

also, anyone in the blacksburg area willing to help take the tank down and bag everything up sometime this week would be greatly appreciated and definately reimbursed

thanks,

Alex ... I have a breeder that is just sitting here empty... It is plumbed into my cube and sump, if you need a spot to hold your stock for any amount of time that'd be fine w/ me... I live in Roanoke , and could help you break it down wed. night ... I am out of town this up coming weekend and will be back the following wed. Let me know....

hey eric, i got your message, and thanks for the quick response.....

As of now my plan is as follows...

Monday:
-remove live rock and place in a dark garbage can for a few days-couple weeks until the algae dies off(tank has had some neglect
-my new roommate will be setting my 40gal up in our new house once we get moved in around June 1st, hopefully the algae will have gone by then
-place remaining livestock in a temporary 20 gal tank with water only (will this be okay?, no live rock or sand, just a hang on filter and circulation)

Tuesday:
- completly breakdown 40gal tank and clean

Wednesday:
-move livestock to your breeder if its still available

As i mentioned before, the tank has been neglected for a couple months due to school and what not...most of the corals need some revitalization, which Im sure you know more about than I. A few of the live rock pieces have some yellow polyps, mushrooms, and zoas on them which I would want to transfer to your tank...but the rest of the live rock I will just be storing in water with circulation until my roommate gets moved in.

Basically the only thing I am wanting to save is the live rock, as it is the largest investment I have made, so the livestock is all yours...with the exception that you might help me out when it comes time to restocking my tank next august :)

I will give you a call either tonight or tomorrow to check in with you.

THanks again

No problem ... Won't have internet access for a few days so just give me a call when you get the chance.... See Ya..

Hey Alex ... I will be around tonight and tomorrow night if you wanted to make it sooner ...call me and let me know ...
