Tank bred clowns compatability

I have a 180g With a large RBTA and a pair of tank raised blk osc. They have been in there for months and don't have any interest in it. Live aquaria says that various tank raised clowns can be together. I was thinking of putting a little tank raised maroon in there for the nem. Anyone have experience in mixing tank bred clowns? I would like to add a pair but I dont want to push it if its a real bad idea.
Thanks,
Mike

maroons are evil tank raised or not. it may take a year for your pair to host in the nem or they may never host in it.

your gonna think it's crazy but get a picture of 2 clowns hosting in a anemone and tape it to your tank. they may copy the pic

Ocellaris and E. quadricolor is not a natural combination and may not always occur in captivity..

Yeah, torch corals and open brains aren't natural hosts either, but my ocellaris have used both. I think it's mostly a challenge of getting the clowns to actually notice that the BTA is there. If they are currently being hosted by a rock  or some other coral, you can try gradually moving that object closer to the BTA (such as a few inches every few days). Originally mine ignored the nem I added, but the above trick worked.

Sorry... sharing from my experience i have had this problem before and couldnt get it to work out..

however,, this is probably the most common combination of clowns and anemones in the aquarium trade.. so I understand the frustration when things dont work out.

that is why I say "may not always occur" it usually does
