The main reason is the pump is not so quiet,I may try it and see when the doors are on.

kinda defeats the name "quiet one" then doesn't it...
My 6000 is ultra quiet. I keep a small aerated style pad below it to help aid in keeping th vibration to a minimum.

Well I got the plumbing done,and after a test run,I have a couple of leaks that need to be fixed Friday.And the quiet one 9000 is so loud you can hear it in the living room even with it setting on a piece of 1/4'' rubber under the pump,so that will not be used for my return.I guess I will put my mag 12 on until I find a mag 18.

I will let you hear sometime,it is loud.My wife was watching tv and she heard it when I tuned it on.

hey i think the shrimp eggs hatched tonight, probably stressed from the move sparked it on huh? lol
tiny tiny little babies were everywhere, was like a feeding frenzy until i noticed it. I scooped up as many as I could but the only place I had was the fuge where there is a damsel lurking. maybe next time around I can have a spot for the little ones.

I knew they were getting close to hatching.I will take the pump apart and see if anything is wrong.It was posted as nib and never ran.
