I thought I would share some pictures of my 180! It's been up about a year and a half with mostly acros and monti's.

That is really really nice.......can you tell us about your system?

Sure, the tank is an All Glass reef ready 180 with an original AGA wood Mission style cabinet and canopy. I think they only made this in all wood for one year and I was lucky enough to find one in some guy's garage!

I took the top off the canopy and have my lighting hanging from the ceiling. The canopy helps cut down the light spread and with the tank in my bedroom, the wife appreciates that! I use 3 400W 12K Reeflux bulbs, Coralvue E ballast and mini Lumenarc reflectors and one 72" Super Actinic VHO light.

The sump is a 40 gallon breeder with a baffled refugium and skimmer section. An ER RS180 skims the tank and I use a Mag 12 for the return. I also use a phosban reactor with carbon in it 24/7.

To replace Alk and Ca I use lime water that is super saturated and a reef dosing pump to constantly add to replace evaporation. I don't use a calcium reactor or two part.

Most of the flow in the tank comes from the 3 modded Tunze 6025's that are connected to three Sea Swirls that constantly rotate the pumps. I also have a SEIO 1100 on another Sea Swirl and one SEIO 1500 that adds extra flow.

Here are some pics on how I connected the 6025's to the Swirl. This random flow in the tank I feel is one of the major reasons I feel that this tank is successful.

I can't think of anything else to add :)

That pump mod is nice, thanks for sharing it with us. I normally don't care for Yellow Tangs, but your trio makes a really nice contrast to the rest of the reef.

There is a ton of info on the nano Tunze mod in the DIY and Lighting and equipment forums. It ups the gph from 650 to 1000 and takes less than a minute.

When I set up the tank, I wanted three purple tangs but couldn't take the price tag so I went with the yellow's. After a bit, I was glad that I did. Their color really brightens up the tank and they're always together which makes it interesting to watch.

I also have a Swallowtail Angel, Flame Angel, 4 Lyretail Anthias (one male), rainbow wrasse, Strawberry Pseudochromis and a mated pair of Maroon clowns.

The tank is looking awesome Pat. It's really filled in well after you had that crash. The size of the clam & anemone in the first pic disguise how big the tank really is!

Thanks everyone for the comments!

Here are some close up pics. I should use a tripod but I'm lazy and I should know a hellova lot more about this camera, but . . .

That anemone and clam are out of hand Jim. I had to redesign my aquascape because the clam just wanted to side up to the glass. I'd have to move him every couple of weeks because I couldn't get to the glass for cleaning and that was driving me nuts.

Now he's in his own lagoon with no chance of escape :)

Here is a better pic of the blue spot squamosa. I haven't measured him in awhile but last time he was 10" long, and about 8" wide. Takes up some room!
