tank problems

i would just buy a new on. That skimmer isent a very good one i think. Yes i would do a lights out for 3 days this has to be no light at all even the lights in the room you could cover the tank with blankets but make sure the heater is off. No light at all can hit the tank or it will defeat the purpose.
You will need atleast 1650 ghp of flow for a 30x turnover rate. And thats a good rate for softcoarls too. Also to get rid of the cyno.

3. Buy RO/DI Unit
4. Buy Phosban or GFO Reactor
5. Fix Skimmer
6. get rid of tang
7.Put carbon in tank
8. Buy 10 gallon tank for micro algae (what do i need to buy for that)
9. Pre rinse food
10. More flow
11. clean sock more often

and not the store water RODI anymore. you must by your own. i would go to BRS to buy their DULE REACTOR. one with GTFO and the other with carbon

for the fuge you would need to plumb it into the tank. hit search on the top of the page then tyoe in FUGE and read,read,read

Macro algae. He was talking abut getting a 10g to set up as a refugium. If your sump is big enough, you could create a refugium in it without having to set up another tank. Macro algae serve a VERY good filtration system, they remove phosphates and nitrates

ya well i think most berlin sumps are small but could you fit an glass pannel in the sump to create a fuge??????

With all the algae you got growing in there, i can guarantee your nitrates and phosphates will test zeros because the algae is consuming it all

aptaisia is not your problem at the moment, in the future you could take a little bit of kalkwasser and mix it with RO/DI water to create a paste (looks like tooth paste). Then put it in a surenge with a needle and injust each aptaisia into its mouth. works like magic, but dont do it in huge quantities at one time or you will overdose on kalkwasser

would i need two new pumps or could i put it in the chamber with the return pump? What about lighting for the algae?

what i mean is his phosphates and nitrates are probably through the roof but they will test zeros because the algae is consuming it all which is why he has soooo much
