Tank survives freon exposure....

Cully when you have fun you really go all out on a saturday night . Just glad everything is back to normal for you this morning and everyone is ok.

Mark- if your hypo sister-in-law is as nice looking as your wife why don't you hook her up with someone?

You got eligible guys at work, dontcha? ;)

she's already dated 2 of my friends with disasterous results. she is a headache to say the least.... cute only goes so far if you are a collosal PITA. Just had to hear about last nights "chest pains"....ugh

Man if it was that old it was probally R-22 and I could have used it when i get the new beer cooler set up..... No free samples for you!!

Most fridges might have 1-2# at the most, so other than stinking up the place you've got nothing to worry about.

LOL....:lolspin:

Sorry, don't mean to laugh, but I'm raising a hypochondriac, so I understand. Somehow, we got on the subject of Grandpa last night, who my 6 year old daughter never met because he died of a heart attack almost 20 years ago. Well, my daughter wanted to know what a heart attack was, so I told her that it meant that your heart stopped beating. Literally a minute later, my daughter is in tears, clutching her chest to make sure her heart was still beating. 24 hours later she is still occaisionally putting her hand over her heart to make sure it is still beating.

I'm hoping she grows out of it...:rolleye1:

you guys ever been to Boldt Castle in the Thousand Islands? there is seriously the MOTHER IN LAW house there...on a teenie tiny island.....with no boat dock.

Haven't been to Boldt Castle in a million years - loved going through that place when I was a kid. My understanding is that parts of it that you used to be able to go through are now closed off due to deterioration. I always thought they should have finished it, at least to make it completely structurally sound...

yeah...me too....loved that place....many wonderful childhood memories...used to pretend i was Nancy Drew...sneak off from the tour....scared the livin' daylights out of my parents a couple of times.
lol.

Id say nothing to worry about. freon 22 or 113 were regularly used as refrigerant. For you it probably would cause some skin irritation if exposed for a bit. if exposed longer some liver damage could occur, prolly not as much as a lifetime of beer though lol. as for the tank freon is not easily soluble in water and when it does it partially degrades, so probably no harm there. FYI there are traces of freon 113 in the niagara river and cayuhoga river. For those of us in the area, I would suggest a whole house water filter LOL

Wow what a nite glad it all is ok though and just as an fyi you can get aquanotes free from neptune but its a lite version but still would have shown you what you wanted to see I think the only difference is the networking stuff not sure though. I have the purchased one and to be honest I never even registered it I have never needed anything more than the lite for monitoring and programing

I stayed at a cabin that had an old style fridge that had the compressor on top. In the middle of the night I got a beer out, slammed the door and green, oily, ammonia smelling juice sprayed all over me. I didn't think much of it till now. Back it the day, we weren't aware of chemical exposure as we are today.
