tank turn over rate?

yesterday I filled my new tank and I did a little test.The tank is a 125 gallon and the pump is a mag 9.5.I had all the water needed right next to the tank and sump.I pumped the water into the sump and let the mag pump it into the tank.It took 20 minutes to fill the tank.My question is does this mean my tank has 3x turn over and if it does do you think this is good enough for a mixed reef?
I also have a scwd plumbed in line.I have heard that they restrict flow I was just wondering how much.

It's fine for the turnover through your sump. You are going to need to supplement with a closed loop or quality powerheads to make up the rest of your flow. Maybe some MJmods or Korillas if your on a budget... Or Tunzes or vortechs if you have some spending money

Yea I have 2 mj mods on 1200s.Those things are great.The tank looks like it has pretty good flow.I just wanted to make sure that the mag is enough for the new tank with 2 overflows

I have a couple. They are kinda large but not much bigger than a 1200. I have 2 of them hidden behind the rockwork. My rockwork has plenty of holes and they flow water through the holes and manage to push the water around pretty darn well even that way. I have the second to the strongest model and these things can move some water. About 3 months now, and still running strong.

I used the head loss calc. on this site and it said I should have about 636 gph. That's 5x turn over.Do you think that the scwd slows it down that much?The pump is almost 2 years old also.Maby its a little worn out.

scwd restricts big time....also for mag drive pumps it is recc. to double the output size in the plumbing.
