As for the eletes how do you have them mounted to the cannopy?
With the quick connects?

Correct, I used the quick connect brackets.

Thanks, I am scared to use them/ Mu luck and i'll end up with a halide in the tank. I thought hard about it but i opted for te hook and eyebolt. I am losing a couple inches, But gaining some peace of mind. Not that it will fall, I just have rotten luck and if it can happen it will to me. LOL ;)

Not sure how Mike's mounted up, but when I mounted my LM Elites to my stock Marineland hood, two of the screws from the QD's were accesible through one of the slats in the top so I was able to mount the fixture, then torque down those two screws from the top. Now there's no way it is coming off unless I loosen those.

I had to tinker with the four screws that lock them in. They are very snug and I am not worried about them one bit. I also have a couple VHO bulbs in the way to keep me from bumping. They seem to be in there pretty good with the screws set just right. I also used the two large holes in the center of the bracket. The brackets are very secure.

See.. you gotta pay attention to the good stuff :)

I'm using XM 10K bulbs. They are much bright with the use of these new reflectors. I am actually having some bleaching problems in the really intense areas. I had to move some of my corals. I have never had to do that in the past with my old spider reflectors.

I am getting close to the end of my vacation and this project is near a resting point. I spent the past few days cleaning all my cabling up and putting everything back where it was. I organized the underside of my tank a few days ago. I still have a few loose cords from my Tunze 6100s that need to stay free. They are taken out for frequent cleanings in order to keep them in good working condition.

I had mentioned earlier that I had to do some work on my old HDDC4 in order to make it functional again. I added a relay to the box that has a cord that goes to one of my other 3 DC8's that controls the relay. This relay is rated at 20 amps. It switches all three of my Icecap 250 electronic blasts on and off at the same time. It even has a nice indicator LED that shows if they are on or not from down stairs. It is nice to be able to see at a glance that the relay is energized or not.

I'm bringing a group of guys over to dirty up your garage and fishroom. They are way too neat.

I love following this build everything is done 1st class. Great Job. Now I have been inspired to go clean something.

Thanks for the compliments. I have to keep everything in order or it would be a total disaster. I spent 3 days of cleaning up the saw dust in my garage. It still isn't where I want it :) I need to wait from some sunny 60 degree weather to get it right.

Looking good Mike!

Thanks Paul, everyone has complimented the work you did on the doors. I think I still owe you some shop cleaning, right?

Thanks again for helping me get past that part.

The tank is still going through all the new tank syndrome items. I am using patience and water changes to get the tank in line. The corals and fish are doing well. I am seeing growth on everything in the tank. If I have some time this weekend I'll post some more pictures.
