Clay, thank you- it does mean a lot to see your post. If I don't quit, I am certain this will ultimately turn out how it was meant to be.
A year is a pretty long time to wait for a tank to be built, unless it's enormous and built into a house that is also being built.....
I hope your friend is able to get a satisfactory resolution, and an amazing tank in the end!
Kathy i have been reading about your ordeal with the tank and i feel for you. If you decide to use the tank do you have a warranty on it? would it cover against defects in case something does happen. I know this is bumming you out, but with all beautiful corals you have, i don't believe you would notice it.
i have followed this thread from the start and really feel for you. I am having similar issues as what to do with my glass 220 that i am not happy with the build quality and the manufacturer will not rebuild. I had to move to a temp house and it gave me a chance to step back and really look at the situation. At the end of the day i decided i need to break down the tank and reseal completely. Not what i wanted to do on a tank that has not seen a drop of water, but the cost to reseal is worth it in the amount of sleep i would loose if i had not.
I went around and around in my head on what to do and finally i made a list of options and looked at the pros and cons of each. It is a hobby and we do it because we like to look at fish and if the bubbles are going to take away from that i say redo it.
