Target ph for CA reactor

Just wanted to know what everybody keeps their target ph for their in-probe ca reactor. I have the Geo reactor and have it set by my controller at 6.6. Is this ok? Im using the ARM media. Thanks

I also have the Geo and I keep my PH at 6.3. I think 6.6 is a little high. I also use ARM. (Thanks for your help on the eheim) Steve

i use arm in my reactor and keep the ph at 6.8, arm dissolves at higher ph values my cal stays between 400 and 450 with 8 clams and a host of sps and lps corals, the arm dissolves nicely. that's the great thing with using arm. the bad thing is unless the cal reactor is a reverse flow(and geo's are ) the arm tends to dissolve into kind of a paste and may clog the pump and reactor up. this especially happens if the ph is run to low

No problem Steve. Glad I could help. Thanks for the input fellas. I think I will keep it where it is right now. Test regularly and go from there. We use ARM even though Geo suggests the large grain media ( Schuran)

I use A.R.M in both of my ReefTeck reactors and run that ph no lower than 7.0 in either of them. 6.6 would be on the very low side for A.R.M. as it should be breaking down very quickly at that ph. Have you tried running it closer to 7.0?
