TDS Readings

I have a dual tds hm digital meter and I have the "in" sensor after the ro membrane, and the "out" sensor in the product water line after the di resin. My question is, why is the in sensor reading 001ppm and the out sensor reads 007ppm? How can the tap water which is 260ppm be filtered down to 001 and then after it goes through the di resin have more tds than before it went into it?:confused::confused:

Yeah replace it. There is a color changing media so it is easier to tell when to replace it. But with a TDS meter that will tell you and be a better indicator. When DI water TDS goes up past what it is going in at, time to change it. On a side not I do not have a DI my TDS out of the RO is 8ppm, tap is 475-500ppm. I have no issues with 8 TDS water.
