Ok so looking to order a new ro/di from bulkreef or somewhere
Probably with inn line meters

Question
What tds should i expect to get from a brand new quality r/o?

I kno a lot affects r/0 production but as far as tds what should my absolute highest acceptable level for fresh makeup water for an reef tank?

I want good water quality

Is 0 tds possible?

Also i have already a pinnacle+160 or 150gpd r/o
And have never replaced filters (5 years old or so)
I kno its due for filters i just dont know if its worth repllacing

3 months ago tds from water on r/o was 15
Since then i stopped using it thinking 15 is not 0 therefore no good

I personally prefer hand held ones.

Need to know your starting TDS, but you should end up getting 0 TDS as the final product.

Sure your existing unit is fine, but way overdue for filter/membrane/resin changes. I change out my pre-filter/carbon every 3-4 months (( 6 months is about the limit )).
My DI resin lasts about a year or so (( should be changed with the TDS gets above 0 )).
My RO membrane (( Dow Filmtec 75 GPD, rated for 96-98% rejection rate )) lasts me about 5 years, give or take.

My tap's TDS is about 160,
the RO membrane brings that down to about 5-6, and the DI resin brings that down to 0.
