Teardrop Maxima - Question

Nothing to see Move along
I have had this guy for 2 months. It seems very happy, not gaping and opening nicely. Very responsive to light and the other critters in the tank.

So my problem is that I placed it up on the rocks and it "jumped" off more. It is now in the sand bed and seems to be doing great.
BUT it has not attached.

Is that a problem? What can I do? I have put a rock or a small shell in the sand under it and it just jumps off of it.

The lighting is T5 HO and the tank is a 55g.

Probably best if it is attached to a rock/clam shell. Have you tried pushing the rock under the sand. Then when the clam digs down in the sand it will find the rock and hopefully attach to it. This has worked for me in the past.

usually when they jump it is because they don't like the light or flow. Don't keep putting it back in the same spot.they get stressed when you move them around too much so if it isn't working for you then put in the sand with rock barrier between sand and clam.
