Technology behind all Comline Skimmers

im from Malaysia n im an avid fan of Tunze products

i have a couple of questions that needed answers, i hope u can help me

1) whats the technolog behind Comline skimmers ?? NW ?? Venturi ?? pls elaborate

2) what does this means ??
Skimmer cup and foam reactor are one unit in all TUNZEÃ"šÃ‚® DOC skimmers. Every cleaning of the skimmer cup leads to the reactor being cleaned at the same time, and thus a very constant and efficient foam production is ensured. During the cleaning process, the Hydrofoamer remains operational and automatically flushes the jet and the air passage.

to help with some of question 2:
the reaction chamber is actually the inner cylinder of the collection cup. When you take off the collection cup to empty it and clean it, the reaction chamber is attached to it and therefore you clean it at the same time.

The skimmers use a venturi. I think the main advantage we have in this area is we make the pumps and we make the venturis. You can get a much better result this way than buying off the shelf components and fitting them together.

The self cleaning feature is pretty simple, when you remove the cup the venturi takes in some water and flushes itself out.

Probably my favorite feature is that when the cup is full, skimming stops. You don't have to worry about it overfilling and dumping skimmate.

They are available, not generally needed but available, less than 10% of pumps I get back need anything more than a new drive unit, even if they are 10 years old.
