Tell me about Copperbands

CoRPS

Big Time Reefer
I have some Majano's and I wanna get rid of them. Also wouldn't mind getting a new fish anyway. Tell me about these fish, says on liveaquaria that they are a difficult fish to keep.

Also what are the chances of this thing actually going after and eating the majanos?

Lol, Brett you and I are having the same issues with this damn mojanos :/ lol I know they will get rid of Aiptasia but not quite sure of mojanos.

I think LiveAquaria list them as difficult because it is difficult to get them to start eating some times.

Copperband for aptasia.

Raccoon for majanos.

Of course it's always hit and miss - no guarantee.

AND butterflies can also start nipping at your corals.

With all that said, I went with a copperband for my aptasia. All the aptasia was gone within a week and he is now a model citizen as well.

If it wasn't such a PITA to catch fish, I'd start renting him out.

Over the last 3 month I tried 3 Copperbands. First one never ate, neither food nor Aiptasia and perished within 2 weeks. Second one same thing. Third one looked a bit more promising, he did eat but obviously not enough and died after about one month.
:(

I've had my Copperband for over 2 years and it's going strong. Eats any frozen foods, picks at rocks and sand bed for stuff the rest of the time. Beautiful, curious fish, always nearby at feeding time. They love clams though, so I wouldn't mix those two.

I've had mine for over six months
he's a lil piggy/real fun fish to watch around
I added a clam about two months ago and shows no interest
i guess im lucky.
