Temporary Nem holding?

So I've got 1 or 2 large RBTA off craigslist I've gotten paid for. Will go in a 215g, but that got delayed 2 weeks >.< and I need to pick them up.

I was looking for ideas where best to house them temporarily.

I've got a 9g nano with nothing in it but a couple small pieces of liverock and a couple damsels. (Was a kinda test tank but it's cycled and I can remove fish.) New PC CFL's.

I've got a 29g peacock mantis tank with a black spine and pencil uchin + huge toadstool. Only one ancient little CFL light and I don't have any other lighting I can put on there.

20g Sump of my 55, one empty chamber for skimmer, one full of chaeto + return section. No lighting to speak of other than some marineland led strips.

Mixed Reef 55, not an option due to overstocked with coral waiting for the 215.

I do have a pretty damn tiny HOB plastic specimen container. (I'd fit one in at best though, questionable flow through it.) Or I have one of those black plastic crates people get at pond supply that I've often seen nems held in.

I'm thinking either the 9g, or possibly try to find a place where I can put the black pong supply crate sealed over with panty hose or something in the 55/sump. Or if the water is good enough maybe try the 29g with the crate and 3ft T5 fixture from 55 (and a spare 4ft T5 on the 55.)

Put them in the tank that will offer them the cleanest water and the most flow. I have a couple of BTAs in a hanging QT tank in my DT, and since there isn't much flow, they're wandering all over the place.

If it's only two weeks, I think they'll be okay with minimal lighting, though they may lose color.

Out of the choices given, sounds like your best bet is the 9g nano.

Have you considered taking them to your LFS and asking them to hold them for you?

They are a little hesitant about it and basically would want a rent which would make the RBTA's no bargain.

I did just realize I could get a 40b up and running if I find some pantyhose for some koralia's. A bit hillbilly since it'd be stuck on the floor of my unfinished basement. (No suitable stand.) That + one of my T5 fixtures. Forgot about it because it's with a bunch of other water containers holding mixed saltwater and liverock. (Had 125 just finished cycling when I sold it to jump on this 215 I'm waiting for.)

Need to check the water on the 40b make sure it didn't have some particulates cause ammonia to build up, but if not, should be pretty pristine. Just throw in some other liverock/heat/powerheads and might work for them.

What i would do with my RBTA divisions, 10"x10" plastic water garden basket hung at a corner of the DT/a power head close to and aimed directly at the basket.

If you go with the 40b or a plastic storage tote http://www.homedepot.com/p/PowerPac...torage-Container-43118/100672718#.UieGGBZGxSV , it would be 100x better if you can recirculate water from the DT's sump to the 40b and back. A single 5000k 19watt PAR 38 spot from Home Depot http://www.homedepot.com/p/Philips-19-5-Watt-120W-PAR38-Daylight-5000K-Dimmable-LED-Flood-Light-Bulb-425280/203553286?N=15b#.UieFyxZGxSU should be all the lighting it'll require while in the holding tank.

get a plastic basket and hang it on the side of any of your reef tank. They will be fine there for several weeks
