Everything I've read says tangs need roughly 6' tank to be happy but nothing on the depth. Right now I have 5 (larger) tangs in my 300gal (8' long X 2' wide 30"tall) but have noticed a few problems that need to be fixed ASAP which will require me to have to completely break it down for at least a month...hopefully sooner, but I always seem to run into problems
I have a 6' X 3' X 12" frag tank I'm in the process of building. Would this be enough swimming space for them while I fix these problems in my main tank? Like I said, it'll probably be torn down a month or so. Most of the rock from my 300g will be housed in the sump so they can have the most swimming room possible.
Fish are
8" Blue Tang
10" Blue Tang
12" Naso Tang
10" Black Cheek Tang
12" Red Sea Sailfin Tang
They all get along but I'm worried in less living quarters, they will start fighting...also worried they might jump in such a shallow tank? TIA
