Is there a "season" for tenting... IE. can't do it in the winter?

Wow, I feel for you. I have my water moving drum back, let me know if I can help when it is time to move it. And yes, from what I read in one of these articles the Gas does not do well in cold weather.

My two cents - tent it and be done. Less time and effort overall (compared to multiple length treatments of other methods) and probably more effective..

I'm going to apply all the over the counter stuff this weekend and see if I see any more droppings, sawdust in the future. I think everyone in west Petaluma has termites. Also I think if i can get the moisture out from under the house they will leave if they have not left already....thanks for everyone who added input.

BTW- Rob how do you know so much about chemicals and gas...are you a chemist?

i just used the over the counter stuff and i did find two boards that were touching dirt and they had termites but i haven't seen any for a few months. I think every house has termits the guys that own the companies make a living off stressing you out. Termites have been around millions of years and you only kill the termites that are in your house when it is tented. Once the tent is taken down they can come righ back in....so i stopped stressing and took as much pro active action as i could, no dirt to wood contact, stakes, sprays.....haven't seen anything yet!
