I heard this many times and its a serious thing. Always be careful handling zoas and pallys. However while reading this news article there is something they got wrong in the type of coral described as being poisonous. Please read and correct me if i'm wrong about the listed coral creates air-borne toxins. Its not even in the same family as zoas and pallys?

Yeah it's called PALYtoxin for a reason. You certainly would not be getting PALYtoxin form a pulsing xenia.

Likely there was a paly hiding in the rock somewhere. I'm curious what his cleaning process was. Taking every rock out and cleaning separately from the tank seems odd. And what did he do to clean it to get the toxins released like that.

Not sure but I do have pulsing xenia always used my bare hands and never got sick. I even left some out once that dried up didn't even get a sniffle. Serious pally toxins creating a health scene like this yes but not xenias. You would think a news source would get their facts straight. As Trump would say "Fake News" LOL
