Thanks, it's hard to capture how awesome it really was there.

I was kind of bummed that I didn't get to see these guys in the water, but just to see them at all was awesome!

Not much in the way of corals, but here one of the better shots I got

Thanks for the comments. The first day out with the camera I learned a couple lessons. I didn't get many good pics, and it was due to poor visibility because the water was rough but also I had the camera on Macro mode and it just picked up all of the stuff floating in the water instead of the fish.

It's a Sony point and shoot camera. I don't know what model it is right off hand, and obviously we got the underwater housing for it too. I think it's 8.2 mega pixels or so.

when were you there? I just got back, I dove garden eel point on the big island, tried to go to city of refuge but couldnt get close to the water due to a big party. I then dove Oahu on some wreck and then a pipe line. I got my wife to snorkle in sharks cove, she was doing pretty good untill she looked up and saw how far shore was... vis wasnt quite as good as your photos, but we did get to swim with a turtle. On the big island I did a night dive with an 8-10 foot manta, I had my 18w HID to attract the plankton, I got smacked in the head from the manta and then it almost layed on top of me! It was great.
hey how did you make the entry with a camera at sharks cove? I thought it was more work the doing the stairs at redondo in my doubles!

Thanks for the comments.

My wife and I were there at the end of October/beginning of Nov. I just got around to posting some pics.

The camera is pretty small, so it wasn't much trouble getting in. If you're facing the ocean we went in on the left side where it's more like a wading pool, then just scooted our way out to the middle. The water got a little rough later in the day, but it was the best conditions and visability. We just snorkel, I'd love to scuba, but not certified yet. (Maybe before our next trip.)

We also snorkeled at Hanauma bay which is a really cool place, but the water was so rough that the vis was really bad. It was so rough that the lifeguard was out surfing the waves. We still had a great time there. Sharks cove was by far better than Hanauma bay on this trip.
